The “Public Signage System Design Verification Workshop,” jointly launched by the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI) and Japan’s GK Design (GK Sekkei), was held today (July 12) at the Creative Theater of TDRI. The event attracted nearly 100 designers from various fields, including visual, spatial, and landscape design.

In this exhibition, in addition to presenting the origin, production process, and design details of “neue Serie57®”, historical materials, prints, and type specimens of “Akzidenz Grotesk” will also be exhibited, marking the first time in Asian history to have such a rich collection of Akzidenz Grotesk-related exhibits.

As Taiwan Design Museum is currently hosting “Educational Textbook Design Exhibition 2024: SEE DIFFERENT ” it is not only showcasing the profoundly meaningful set of books, “Seikai No Tomodachi”, but also providing viewers with an opportunity to appreciate the rich diversity of contemporary educational materials.

Curated by the Sasson Kung – an expert and enthusiast of European graphic design and hosted by the TDRI with the support of Netherlands Office Taipei and the Sichting De Best Verzorgde Boeken (SDBVB), the exhibition will bring the 33 books selected in 2021 to the public in Taiwan.

Organized by the Taipei Book Fair Foundation and Not Just Library, the 2020-2024 Golden Butterfly Award Winners Exhibition collects the most beautifully designed books in Taiwan, allowing the audience to take a close look at the winning books of the Golden Butterfly Award from recent five years and enjoy the unique charm of Taiwanese book designs.

This exhibition centered around Eisuke Tachikawa’s advocacy of “Evolutionary Thinking,” explores the past, present, future, and the global “ecosystem” with various attempts made by NOSIGNER over the past decade, to find the most suitable positioning for various projects and propose visions for the future.

This exhibition features a selection of 35 works from the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, a wealth of storytelling and visual brilliance including both retellings of classic tales and new stories.
