Spain’s rich heritage and innovative spirit indisputably make it a great power in the global design and art worlds. TDRI has specially invited the renowned design team OdosDesign from Valencia, Spain, along with co-founder Ana Segovia, to curate six themed exhibitions, intertwining them to portray the essence and spirit of contemporary Spanish design.

Helmed by the rising exhibition curator Atelier SUPERB, this year’s exhibition, titled Multidimensional Hyperplasia, promises an immersive spatial experience featuring more than a hundred award-winning works. The exhibition will run until March 17, 2024 at the Taiwan Design Museum.

This exhibition centered around Eisuke Tachikawa’s advocacy of “Evolutionary Thinking,” explores the past, present, future, and the global “ecosystem” with various attempts made by NOSIGNER over the past decade, to find the most suitable positioning for various projects and propose visions for the future.

It’s an exhibition that spans across technology, culture, and innovation, providing a platform for visitors to contemplate and envision the future. Whether you are a technology enthusiast, an artist, or simply someone curious about future developments, you will find inspiration and enjoyment in this exhibition.

From 28th September 2021 to 6th March 2022, TDRI launches the Swiss MAX-Swiss Design Exhibition. The exhibition is curated based on the unit of “hundred”, including 100 designers, 100 product designs, 100 posters, 100 books, etc. A large number of exhibits lead the audience to explore the 100 years of aesthetics and design history of Switzerland.

This exhibition is a response to contemporary life. In times when malls have become the main location for purchasing furniture, this exhibition hopes to become a starting point of re-organizing the history of Taiwan design, and that the genuine passion for creativity can leave imprints in the future.

At the rear of the exhibition, Aiap / Italian association of visual communication design is invited to present the selection of posters from the current members. With more than 700 members from the whole Italy, this presentation allows us to peek into the current situation of Italian graphic design.

On the topic of “Beyond Bauhaus”, this exhibition invites designers from various profession and countries, to analyze their design works and rethinking the Bauhaus spirit from.

Beginning in March, Taiwanese innovation will move three highly acclaimed design exhibitions — Intuition, Circular Design, and Black and Blue Cosmos — to the Taitung Design Center.

With economies of scale plundering limited resources and the global trends on environmental policies, it is foreseeable that the cost of extracting raw materials will be greater than that of using renewable resources. To keep business for long term success, designers or manufacturers should be involved in circular design as early as possible, as it is unavoidable yet crucial.
