This exhibition is a response to contemporary life. In times when malls have become the main location for purchasing furniture, this exhibition hopes to become a starting point of re-organizing the history of Taiwan design, and that the genuine passion for creativity can leave imprints in the future.
Golden Pin Design Award 2020 Call for Entries is Now Open
The 2020 Golden Pin Design Award is now accepting submissions worldwide until Thursday, July 9. Works that have already been commercialized and sold on the market are eligible to enter and may be submitted by either the manufacturer or the design team. An early registration discount is available on and before Thursday, April 30.
2020 Circular Design Exhibition: Next Decade
After “Circular Design Exhibition – Are you in the circle?” in 2018, Taiwan Design Center, upgraded to Taiwan Design Research Institute this year. TDRI plans the circular design project to showcase “Disaster or Design” curated by REnato lab. We held a press conference for the opening on February 21th.
The Misused Exhibition – A Geeky Study on How to Use Metal Hardwares Wrong
Each year, the project observes hardwares in different country. The designers will first deconstruct the original functions of the hardware and to repurpose them. Parts of the Taiwanese and Dutch hardware works will be presented in the exhibition this time.
