2019 AIC Innovation Forum: Design Drives Cross-disciplinary Innovation
As AI continues to grow in power and influence, how can designers put this trend to good use, and how can technology assimilate the creativity and individuality of design? As VR technology becomes more mature, how can industry understand VR demand and design creative content interfaces? And how can we reach across the aisle to invite creatives with different artistic backgrounds to bring innovative new service experiences to life? As mobile communication and big data become more prevalent, new creative teams are asking how they will use design and technology strategies in the market to build leading brands and sustainable operations.

Design drives cross-disciplinary innovation: this is already an established school of thought. This event has invited accomplished speakers from both academic and business circles, including Chung Laung Liu, an Academia Sinica scholar, Michael Chang, the CEO of the Microsoft AI research and development center in Taiwan, and Hsin-Chieng Huang, a new media artist, in addition to representatives from companies such as NUWA Robotics, Trip Moment, and DITLDESIGN. This is an opportunity to share ideas between experts in the arts and humanities as well as technological design, bringing together different perspectives and building a bridge between perceptive and rational thought. This will ignite future insights about tangible methods to nurture design, brand, and technological ability, and open up even more cross-disciplinary and cross-industrial business possibilities.
