To promote the integration of design thinking into sustainability and accelerate green transformation in industries, TDRI hosted the forum “Think Circular x Design Impact – Rethink, Redesign, Regenerate | Shaping the Future of Sustainable Brands” on July 1. The event brought together over 96 participants from government, academia, and the design industry, featuring speakers from Japan, Australia, and Taiwan who explored how design can reshape sustainable branding, packaging innovation, and smart manufacturing.

To foster design exchange between Taiwan and the Philippines and promote objectives such as circular design, the Taiwan Design Research Institute, embarked on an international exchange event in the Philippines this June.

The design week to be held at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in December represents the first time such an event will take place in Taiwan. With “Elastic Bridging” as the theme, it will showcase how Taiwan adapts and increases its impacts by bridging wisdom and resources across fields.

TDRI in collaboration with Taiwan’s National Fire Agency and with notions of public fire safety equipment redesign. After two years, one sees quite a few applications and mass productions, as well as actual cases of such applications in both public and private sites.
