Encouraging women’s empowerment and participation in the economy is smart economics. This “Women’s Economic Empowerment Summit” invited well-known international representatives to Taiwan to share their commercial, governmental and academic experience. This summit aims to serve as Taiwan’s leading example for promoting women empowerment and spreading the message that women play a vital role in the economy. At the same time, the summit also promotes the US State Department’s Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative (W-GDP), which stresses women’s indispensable contribution to GDP.
This event is part of a series of events to celebrate the American Institute in Taiwan’s 40th anniversary in Taiwan. Attendance is free, and civil servants who attend can earn lifelong learning hours.
